Retreat Testimonials

"The time together was structured without being rigid. After some practice I felt a vulnerability and trueness that I haven’t felt in such a long, long time."

Day 01

Thursday

On Thursday evening you will arrive to our serene retreat destination. Our first session begins with introductions and intentions, as well as overall guidance for the weekend ahead. You will begin feeling safe with this group of strangers waiting to become your friends. Before bed will practice a relaxing meditation.

Sample Agenda

Day 02

Friday

Friday morning you will awaken to smell of fresh coffee and breakfast being prepared on the stove. Your mornings are slow and quiet here - follow your energy. After breakfast we gather for soul work. Beginning to get to know ourselves from the inside out.  We pack yummy lunches and go for an adventure in nature (for all skill levels) where we learn to appreciate the healing power of nature. Then we have free time to hot tub or nap or chat. Then dinner is served, and we have one last gathering and meditation before bed. Don’t forget star-gazing!

Day 03

Saturday

Saturday you again awaken to peace and serenity (and coffee!).  By now the group is vibing and feeling safe and open to whatever arises.  We are beginning to get to know all parts of ourself and learning how to greet our inner systems with kindness and curiosity.  We also dip into our Enneagram types on Saturday and lean how IFS and the Enneagram are a double dose of self-understanding and work seamlessly together.

  • Are meals included?
Yes, all meals are included. We do not cook with meat, but no one has ever complained or noticed. A cook comes on the retreat and does all the meal prep and cooking. Thursday supper, three meals on Friday and Saturday, plus Sunday breakfast are included. As well as snack foods, coffee, hot tea, and other beverages throughout the day and evening. We can accommodate vegan, gluten free, and any other dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • How many people are on each retreat?
I like to keep the retreat groups small! You can expect a maximum of 10 people on the retreat.
  • Is this a silent retreat?
Absolutely not. However, there are periods of silence – after 10 p.m and until breakfast is finished some mornings. This may feel strange to eat and do some other activities in silence. However, there will be lots of time to process feelings and learn from them.
  • Do I need to be in good athletic shape?
Absolutely not!! There will be some mindful walking that anyone can do, The hiking and other excursions are optional and accommodations can be made for moderate hikes as well.
  • Will I have to share a room with a stranger?
This depends on what room type you reserved. If you reserved a double or a triple room, yes, however, no one shares beds. Also, on past retreats folks have found we are only strangers for about an hour. If you are attending one of the co-ed retreats and reserve a bed in a shared room, we will email you to confirm your rooming preferences. If you attend one of our retreats with a friend and would like to request sharing a room with them, simply email me after you make your purchase!
  • Is there alcohol provided?
No! There are no intoxicants of any kind allowed on the retreat (Except for the INTOXICATION created by your own experience).
  • What kinds of activities are available?
There is art and music and hot tubbing. We are staying on a working farm with a pond, alpacas, and hens to get our breakfast eggs from in the mornings
  • Do I need to know how to meditate?
Absolutely not! This retreat is gentle, and the hope is you leave liking yourself (and others) a whole lot more!
  • Should I be nervous?
Sure!! You are doing something that takes courage! Giving yourself the gift of a retreat often feels a bit unusual and we sometimes define that feeling as nervousness. Anytime we do something we haven’t done before; it brings up some sort of feelings. The best medicine for that is to KEEP AN OPEN MIND AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD!
  • What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If I can fill your spot you will get 100% refund. Because I keep the retreats small and affordable, I am not able to offer a refund if I cannot fill your spot.
